The following rates are for word-processed translations. They are based on the number of words in the English or foreign language source text. Each rate is subject to a minimum charge per language per invoice. For example, translating 500 words of Russian into English would cost US$30. If, however, there are only 100 words, the minimum charge of US$20 would apply. We count, by scanning or manually, all words that have to be keyed and define a word as one or more letters or figures between spaces. We can provide a cost and time estimate to translate any text you send us and shall be pleased to quote for specially formatted translations, or translations in DTP packages,on disk and/or printed on bromide or film. We may decline to translate a text or charge more if a text is handwritten or has poor legibility.
　　The table below gives rates per 1,000 words and minimum charges for translating 36 languages into/from English. Translations may be on paper and/or on disk.Transmission by post,e-mail or fax is included.

■ Consecutive Interpreting US$210 per day/$105 per halfday plus expenses. 60% of the full rate will be charged if a booking is cancelled with less than two clear working days' notice.
■ Simultaneous interpreting $200 per hour or $600 per day.
■ Timeframe:10,000 Chinese characters in 2 days, 30,000 in 5 days, 100,000 in 7

If the translation is patent specifications, medical or aeronautical there is a 30 percent surcharge in price. If you want the translation to be done within 2 working days, there is a 40 percent surchange in price. Licence & notarial deed translations or the like is US$25 per sheet(including the seal).
■ Payment is due within one month or on completion if no credit limit has been agreed.
