BIOS
Angus Black has extensive experience as an adviser in the development
of engineering projects. Within this field he has acted as instructor
to engineers, plant operators and business managers and writer of engineering
reports advising the best approach to develop technical and commercial
aspects of projects. His teaching, report writing and proof checking experience
extends over 20 years. His special knowledge is in the field of technical
design and plant optimisation with experience including building services
and coal, waste material, oil and gas, fired heat and power plant along
with waste and water treatment plants. He has Consultancy, Project Management,
Legal and Financial experience.
He has taken a responsible role for project developments and staff management,
taking account of commercial and technical aspects of these tasks. He
has also taken the lead technical role for design and construction of
plant.
He enjoys learning about people and there needs and has an interest in
history, tea culture, countryside, gardening, folk arts and music.

Developing the companies engineering team through formal training and
writing method procedures.
Projects: Developing new markets for the company in Poland , Thailand,
Philippines and China. Development contracts signed with First Farmers
holding Compnay, Negros Occidental, Philippines, Tarlac Sugar Company,
Philippines, Kaset Thai Sugar Company, Thailand, City of Jawor, Poland,
Siedlce Poland, Sieradz Poland, projects at various stages.

Position: Associate Director Engineering. Writing feasibility reports,
training the engineering staff and clients operating staff and leading
the design and installation of plant.
Projects Tongzhou PR China advising a contract energy management company
on developing project in PR China, providing a method to approach this
market and the carrying out feasibility studies on their behalf. Similar
work done for India,Taiwan, Rumania, and several Clients UK.
Federal Tait Paper Mill Inverurie. Responsible for linking the steam services
and water services of two existing power plants and progressing the extension
of the existing combined cycle CHP plant.
Zenica Grangemouth Combined Power Stations. Progressing the mechanical
design for the new power plant and now advising on the development of
the second phase.
Zenica Huddersfield Combined Power Stations. Progressing the mechanical
design for the new power plant.
Leeds Hospital and University Power House. Responsible for engineering
work from feasibility study to commissioning and hand over to client.
FMC Manchester. British Sugar Wissington. ICI Chlor Chemicals. Tunnel
Refineries London. Roche Dalry. And various others are some of the projects
developed by my team over the past three years.

Position: Engineering Manager (Deputy Chief Engineer). Co-ordinating detailed
design of plant and training clients engineering team.
Projects : Fushun Heat and Power Plant for China. Responsible for Power
Station Design as Lead Consortium Engineer for the supply of Coal Fired
Boiler Plant, Steam Turbine and Power Station Mechanical, Electrical and
C&I systems.
Dalian Power Stations for China. Supply of Steam Turbine Generating Sets
and auxiliaries and design of power plant heat exchangers for clients
manufacture.
Dandong Chemical Fibre Company. P.R.China. Design of the complete plant.
Producing electricity, process steam and various heating systems for the
plants use.

main pumps and pipework specifications for tender and construction. Developing

St Johns Hospital: Livingston: Upgrading of stores heating system using
warm air, radiant and convector heaters.
Firs Nursing Home, Hamilton Road, Glasgow and Eldon Street Hostel and
Housing, Greenock: Design and detailing of heating, ventilation and domestic
services and giving advice to the Architect as an EDAS Consultant for
an energy efficient building.
Lochgelly High School, Fife: Conversion of coal fired boilers to natural

submission of tender for upgrading sewage digestion and bio gas fueled
